Sex discrimination regulations: What federal contractors need to know

August 15, 2016

On August 15, 2016, the effective date for OFCCP’s new sex regulations, The Institute Faculty Chris Wilkinson of Orrick, Herrrington & Sutcliffe and Guest Speaker Christy Kiely of Hunton & Williams will highlight important changes these new regulations make. The presenters will be joined by moderator and Institute Co-Chair David Cohen, of DCI Consulting, to discuss what surprises federal contractors may find as they begin implementing the new rules. Despite OFCCP’s assertions that the new regulations simply bring the agency’s guidance into the modern era, the rules expand the guidelines in notable ways, such as adding accommodation obligations for pregnant workers, requiring that men receive the same family leave benefits as women, and expanding benefits for transgender individuals.
Presented by:
Christy E. Kiely from Hunton & Williams in Richmond, VA
Chris Wilkinson from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in Washington, DC
Moderator: David B. Cohen from DCI Consulting in Washington, DC
